Butterfly Milkweed is known for its bright orange flowers that form in showy clusters. It is one of the shorter milkweed species and is usually found in prairies, meadows and other dry open areas. It is very well-behaved in gardens and prefers dry, sandy soil and does not like to be moved once it is established. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
