Highbush Cranberry

Highbush Cranberry grows best in average loam soils that are consistently moist, but it can be grown in sandier soils as well. Often used in landscaping because of its attractive white spring flower and red fall foliage. Produces a cluster of red berries. Berries soften and sweeten in late winter, providing a food source for Cedar Waxwing and other birds. The berries are tart uncooked but make great jellies and syrups.
